The area offers a wide variety of flora and fauna. Those who hike will enjoy eating blackberries along the hiking trails in August. The blooming yellow broom smells wonderfully sweet in June / July and as does the sage, which blooms in August. Besides thistles, daisies and lavender you will also find many herbs as you walk, hike, or cycle through our Italian countryside.
You can also come across a number of animals such as wild boars, lizards, longhorn beetles, foxes, badgers, spider centipedes, grasshoppers, scorpions (harmless) and deer.
